In a world where exile collides with memory, and humans intersect with animals, The Republic of the Dog unfolds as a profound meditation on power, alienation, and identity. Through the ambiguous relationship between an Eastern refugee in Europe and a dog that seems to understand the new order better than people do, the novel exposes the hidden logic of modern societies.

Dogs in this novel are not marginal creatures; they are mirrors reflecting the contradictions of contemporary life—obedience and rebellion, affection and fear, freedom and surveillance. With a reflective narrative voice infused with philosophy, history, and cultural memory, the author raises unsettling questions about belonging, humanity, and who truly holds sovereignty in a world where values are constantly being redefined.

The Republic of the Dog is not a story about a dog—it is a story about a human being who becomes a stranger within a republic that does not resemble him, only to realize that alienation is not defined by geography, but by one’s position within the system.
A bold, ironic, and deeply human novel that reveals the fragility of power when viewed from ground level… where dogs stand.
