Sabra and the Desert Queen” tells the inspiring story of Sabra, a sensitive young girl from Tamanrasset who struggles with stuttering, low self-confidence, and bullying at school. To help her relax and feel better, her family takes her on a trip to the Algerian Sahara. While camping under the starry night, Sabra discovers a magical bookstore that appears only at night, called Dar El Hikma (“House of Wisdom”).
Inside, she finds an old mysterious book that puts her into a dream where she meets the legendary Tuareg Queen Tin Hinane. The Queen teaches her that intelligence has many forms, and that patience and bravery can guide her through challenges. Encouraged and empowered, Sabra wakes up with renewed determination. She studies hard, asks questions despite her stutter, and slowly begins to succeed—becoming a “queen” in her own heart
